Are you ready for the new season?

(via Bayern Munich vs Tottenham 2-2 (5-6 Pens) Highlights & All Goals – Final 2019 – YouTube)

Another excellent pre-season workout for the squad – this time with a bonus : The Audi Cup! Meaningless in the grand scheme of things but priceless in the continuing build-up to the new season.

If you look carefully, you can see yours truly in the Spurs crowd. Haha.

Peter Crouch has just announced his retirement from football.

All the best, Crouchy!!!

Has Christian Eriksen already played his last game for Spurs? It does appear so. It’s probably the right time as well.

Eriksen has given the club SEVEN years of excellent service and although his form dipped somewhat this season – his free kicks and corner kicks have been dire at times – there is no doubt that on his day, he made Spurs click.

Of course, no one player is irreplaceable and this applies also to Eriksen BUT Spurs have to ensure that from the big money they get from the sale, they need to invest wisely in TWO replacements so that playmaker rotation is possible.

Still nothing confirmed yet so all speculation at this moment. Wait and see, eh?

Here we are, the end of yet another season, the very last game. If you have been following this blog in 2018-2019, you would know that it has been a roller-coaster ride for Tottenham Hotspur FC, with highs and lows.

As a Spurs fan since 1973, I have witnessed Spurs win several trophies including the UEFA Cup (1984), FA Cups (1981, 1982, 1991) and League Cups (1999, 2008). But without doubt, tonight’s Champions League Final is the biggest one of all.

Not much more to add to this but to point you to this preview video to get you in the mood for what should be an emotional night. It will be a tough game of course but hopefully, the Spurs players have enough fire in their bellies to get over the line. See you on the other side!

Poch is Spurs through and through. Listen to his passion for the club in this interview. I am sure Daniel Levy is fully aware that with the new infrastructure, the next step is for Tottenham Hotspur to be major contenders for honours. I am confident that Levy and Poch will work together for the good of the club.

“I am a very positive person and I am going to try and deliver in my job. I am going to stick with the club until the end to help the club achieve all they want.”

How much clearer can the man be about his desire to stay at Spurs to finish what he has started???? Really pissed off with the media and even some Spurs fans for all the shit stirring.

Poch is brutally honest here about his targets for this season. Priority lies with the Top 4 and not the domestic cups. As usual, ‘fans’ will take issue with his dismissal of the domestic cup competitions. Still so much to play for.

The gaffer previews the cup game with Crystal Palace on Sunday.

He seems a bit jaded with the questions about injuries and transfers. Who wouldn’t be in his position? It’s clear that he does not see transfers as a solution to injury problems.

But in any case, hopefully, the months ahead will see some of the problems of the new stadium and injuries abate.
